What is Kise no Hito?
A long time ago, before we relied on machine production.
Many things related to daily life are created by handicrafts,
They were indispensable to people's lives.
A bowl for the meals we enjoy every day. Clothes and accessories worn on the body.
A variety of woodworking and metal tools that support daily life.
Eventually, they passed through the hands of various owners over many generations,
Finally, it passes through a secondhand dealer like us as a "sieve item",
I will depart to my next master.
As a secondhand dealer for many years, every time I come into contact with the techniques and thoughts of manufacturing people,
My respect for them has grown, and I wonder when that started.
Holding a craft fair with craftsmen who live in the moment,
This became a cherished wish for us.
"Art & Craft Fair Kisenohi"
“Kise” refers to the place where the event will be held, Kise, Tsukuba City.
A sewing term that refers to the ``looseness'' of cloth that is intentionally created to make the finish look neat.
A relaxing day, the light of manufacturing that lights up in Kichise.
Passionate creators gather in Kichise,
I hope that everyone who visits this place has a fruitful and peaceful day.
With this wish in mind, we named it "Kisenohi."
The creator creates something with his own hands that he believes is the one, and the person who sympathizes with it receives it.
Many such precious human activities were born at Kise-no-hi.
May that light continue to be passed on to the next generation.
Late autumn in November. At Kichise Forest, we are waiting for everyone who loves handicrafts.
